"Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship." Romans 12:1
The only response to God’s freely given grace is worship that is heart-felt and open. The worship ministry is dedicated to creating an atmosphere of genuine worship, in which God’s Spirit can transform us. Whether on Sunday mornings or during special praise gatherings, see below the ways you can serve.
The Worship Ministry Team works with the pastoral staff in planning congregational worship experiences that are relevant, biblical, and contextual. Moreover, the worship ministry team does not simply provide musical and instrumental support to the community. We hope that anyone who wishes to explore their affinity and interests in worship to cultivate both their heart and craft. The ministry provides training and mentorship to equip and empower anyone who may share a passion in worshiping God!
Join us as we worship our Lord together every Sunday at 9:40AM!
TRAINING & DISCIPLESHIP
We love to build up anyone interested in furthering their heart in worship with training and seminars. Talk to us to learn more
We provide worship support for our church community and beyond, from community events and Summer Conferences to occasional coverage for other church's worship ministries.
PRAISE & ADORATION
Worship doesn't just happen on Sundays. We hope to provide avenues for our community to worship both individually and corporately in the other six days as well.
“I’ve always felt called to serve God through music.”
“I want to know what worship is about.”
“I want to be a part of a team that works hard and plays hard.”
“I want to help out in worship.”
“I want to be part of a team that grows together and gets closer to God.”
“I want to share my musical knowledge with fellow Christians”…
If any of the above statements describes you, please come and talk to us. We will journey with you to find out if your calling can be realized in the worship ministry. We are always on the lookout for fellow Christians with a passion for serving God with their musical gifts. If you are interested to see us at work, come visit us on Thursday nights at VCBC. That’s when we hold our weekly practices.
Our music teams are comprised of instrumentalists, vocalists and worship leaders. Not every member has had extensive formal music training, but each one of them works very hard to become proficient in at least one instrument. Through dedicated studies, they have also developed a good ear and a solid grasp of basic music theory. Dedication and passion are two things we expect of all members. When you come to us, we will walk you through an informal audition process to identify if it is the right time for you to be serving on the music team. Once you have become a member, you will be assigned to serve on a specific worship team.
Come visit us and share our passion. We look forward to meeting with you. Please contact Michael She at email@example.com
Rather be serving behind the scenes? We have a place for you!
Do you have an ear for sound? Or have an eye for making PowerPoint presentations that can enhance the worship experience?
If you’ve said yes to any of the questions above and you have the desire to control the church soundboard or make the PowerPoint slides for Sunday service, we’d love to be in contact with you!
This is a great opportunity for those who are technologically-inclined to help serve the Lord and VCBC. Experience is not necessary as training can be provided.
If you are interested and would like more information regarding this, please contact Simon firstname.lastname@example.org.
