Join us for Spiritual Friendships and Storytelling, a brand new Adult Sunday Life Group (Module 3) led by Kathy, starting April 9-June 25 from 11:15am-12:30pm in hybrid format, in-person in Room B14-15 and online (slg.vcbc.ca). 

In this class, based on books by Keith R Anderson and Michele Cushatt, we will gain an understanding of the thinking that lies behind helpful spiritual friendships. Good friends share their lives and their stories. Jesus said, John 15:15 “I have called you friends”. Partnering with another in spiritual friendship, is helping one another to read the story of our living response to a living God. The Apostle Paul said, 2 Corinthians 3:3 “Your very lives are a letter that anyone can read by just looking at you. Christ himself wrote it—not with ink, but with God’s living Spirit; not chiseled into stone, but carved into human lives”.  We will look at stories of the Bible to see how God loves. And we will be invited to contemplate how God has loved us in the same ways. We might do this on our own, but our dream is that participants will help one another in this process, to see God right in the middle of our moments. Our prayer is that these faith testaments, would be our story-stones of remembrance, that anchor our faith and the faith of those we share our stories with.
