Attributes of God by Cindy 
Below are some attributes of God that resonates with me and I hope that we can pray over. It offers me hope knowing that God is All-Powerful, Ever-Present, All-knowing and Love.

God is All-Powerful.

Jeremiah 32:17 “Ah, Sovereign Lord, you have made the heavens and the earth by your great power and outstretched arm. Nothing is too hard for you.

Knowing that God has infinite power helps me to understand that everything is under His control and nothing is too hard for Him.
I pray that He will teach us how to rely on His strength instead of our own strength. Because as humans we have our own limitations but if we rely on God, we can yield and surrender our control to God and know that He will intervene on our behalf if necessary.

God is Ever-Present.

Psalm 139:7-10

“7 Where can I go from your Spirit?

  Where can I flee from your presence?

8 If I go up to the heavens, you are there;

    if I make my bed in the depths, you are there.

9 If I rise on the wings of the dawn,

    if I settle on the far side of the sea,

10 even there your hand will guide me,

    your right hand will hold me fast.”

God is always present and knows exactly what I’m going through each moment and every day. Therefore, I can be at ease knowing that He’s watching over me and taking care of me because He’s with me every minute.

I pray that God can offer us the same assurance knowing that He is present with us guiding us in our everyday lives and that we can trust Him with our fears and struggles.

God is All-Knowing.

Psalm 139:1-2

“1 You have searched me, Lord,

    and you know me.

2 You know when I sit and when I rise;

    you perceive my thoughts from afar.”

I’m learning to accept that things don’t always go as planned. Knowing that God is All-Knowing comforts me because I cannot guarantee that my plans will always turn out and I realize that I will be okay no matter what the outcome is.

I pray that God can offer us the same comfort knowing that He knows our thoughts and therefore we can be honest with Him when we spend time with the Lord.

God is Love.

1 John 4:18

“There is no fear in love, but perfect love drives out fear.”

Knowing that God is Love helps to drive out some of my own fears because His love enables me to trust Him wholeheartedly with my worries and insecurities.

I pray that God can help us to drive out some of the fears and worries that we may have in our lives so that we can learn to lean on His goodness and love for us.
