The Nurturing Ministry Team works alongside the pastoral staff to facilitate spiritual growth and maturity in our community. Just as the Scriptures highlight the importance of a lifelong learning and grounding in God's Word, so too do we strive to provide the resources, support, and learning opportunities for our members to deepen their understanding in God's truth.
To do so, the Nurturing Team hosts various programs and initiatives including Bible studies, leadership development, mentorship opportunities, seminars, and training in the spiritual disciplines.

Total Growth is a 27 week discipleship program developed and facilitated by Rev. Paul Chan for over 20 years. It is for people who desire to deepen their faith in prayer and Bible study beyond the clichés, share their lives in a vulnerable and honest manner, and cultivate an authentic Christian walk with other believers. This year, we share the joy to have Rev. Chan host Total Growth in our community.
VCBC is avid in expanding our community's theological and spiritual horizon. We regularly invite other speakers and organizations to come to impart their wisdom to us. Some seminar topics in the past include Evangelism & Mission, Faith and Mental Health, Discipleship & Mentorship, and Hermeneutics.
