VCBC Special Announcement Regarding COVID-19 (March 18, 2020)

As the BC Provincial Government has declared a Public Health Emergency on Mar 17, 2020, VCBC will implement our shutdown protocol effective March 20, 2020 until further notice. It will mean that all staffs will start working from home. Any physical access to the church building must be pre-approved by the Board of Directors during this shutdown period through requesting one of the moderators or Pastor Sam. This measure is implemented to protect the health of our members, and to help relieve the burden of our healthcare system.

During this time, church’s phone number will be forwarded to one of our secretaries. As a result, you may still call 604-325-6314 for any inquiry, and our staff will continue to serve you. You may also contact any of our pastors by calling the church’s number and their extension. You call will then be transferred to their cellphones.

Though this is an unprecedented situation we are all in, VCBC will continue to try our best to serve and help our members as well as our community. Our Community Care Initiative will continue to seek opportunity to help those in needs, such as food & grocery delivery. For any person who needs help in such area, please call 604-325-6314 to talk to our staff, and our volunteers will try their best to assist you. Also, our Charity Fund will continue to invite application for financial assistance. Last but not least, our pastors and deacons will continue to contact our brothers and sisters for spiritual care.

We will also continue to maintain our Sunday Services via internet. Brothers and sisters should continue to check our website for any update and instructions.

Thank you very much for your understanding. May God protect your body, your mind, and your spirit.
